Last May, the world was stunned by 2 very catastrophic tragedies, both occurring in Asia. On 2nd May 2008, Cyclone Nargis struck Myanmar leaving a trail of destruction. Subsequently, on 12th May 2008 Sichuan, China experienced a devastating earthquake which caused a great amount of grief.

Realizing the magnitude of these 2 tragedies, Southern Lion have pooled our resources and contributions from our staff to donate for the victims of these 2 major tragedies.

On 31st July 2008 we handed over our contributions to the Malaysian Red Crescent Society in Kuala Lumpur. Southern Lion donated our Fabric Care and Personal Care products worth around RM 66,000.00. Apart from that, we also donated 5,000 bottles of mineral water.
