On 19 March 2025, Johor Bahru experienced flooding caused by continuous heavy rainfall and a phenomenon of high tide. As a result, several low-lying areas such as Kampung Laut Skudai and Kampung Maju Jaya were severely affected.

Some Lion staff members were also victims of this flash flood. We recognize the significant impact this disaster has had on their lives, and we feel a strong responsibility to help ease their burden. As part of our efforts to support affected staff, the company organized a gotong-royong (communal work) activity to help clean their flood-affected homes. This initiative aimed to assist in cleaning up flood debris, reduce damage, and provide moral support during this difficult time. In addition, a flash donation drive was held to support the 18 Lion staff members affected by the floods. The donation drive raised a total of RM 18,770.00.

We extend our heartfelt thanks to everyone involved in the gotong-royong program and to all Lion employees who generously contributed. May these contributions help lighten the burden of our colleagues who were badly affected by the floods.
