On 19 December 2025, Southern Lion Sdn. Bhd. made a contribution to the Persatuan Bulan Sabit Merah Malaysia Disaster Response Team as part of the company’s ongoing commitment to flood preparedness and community wellbeing.

The contribution was presented by Southern Lion Sdn. Bhd.’s Managing Director, Mr Tomotaka Oka, to the representatives of the Disaster Response Team. The donation aims to support preparedness initiatives and strengthen response capabilities to assist communities affected by seasonal flooding.

During the discussion, Mr. Oka emphasised that the contribution reflects Southern Lion’s responsibility to give back to its consumers and the wider community. He expressed hope that the support would help ease the burden faced by flood-affected families and contribute meaningfully to relief and preparedness efforts.

“At Southern Lion, we believe that our responsibility goes beyond delivering quality products. It also includes standing with our communities in times of need. This contribution to the Disaster Response Team is our way of giving back to the people who support us. We hope it will help strengthen preparedness efforts and bring relief to families affected by floods. Together, through collaboration and compassion, we can help communities recover and become stronger,” said Mr. Oka.
In addition, Southern Lion took the opportunity to learn more about Persatuan Bulan Sabit Merah Malaysia’s ongoing humanitarian efforts, which extend beyond flood response. These include providing assistance during environmental emergencies such as the 2019 Kim Kim river pollution incidents, as well as other community-based relief and emergency response initiatives for those in need.
